Wow, I hadn't realized how long it had been since I last updated this blog. Well, let me re-cap. First, I need to look at my last post and see which day it was because even though it says the 19th, I have no idea which day of the week that was! Wednesday, wow! Alright well, not too much has happened since. I don't know why i think i'll be able to remember events when i cant even remember the last day i posted!
anyway, let's just say not much happened thursday. friday i cleaned the porch so just in case girl kiddo's birthday got rained out, we could move there. we had girl kiddo's birthday party at uncle's house right next door. Saturday, that was yesterday...we didn't do much that day either, however, Mac walked four steps toward me before he lunged himself forward into my arms and he did something else too, but for the life of me i can't recall what it was.
today has been relatively slow as well...when i was trying to put Mac down for a nap earlier, he'd gently bonk his head on the wall, then let his forehead slip down the wall which made it quickly vibrate which in turn, made Mac laugh! Basically you take a semi-glossy wall, and a sticky forehead and slide it down the wall...and it bounces as it slides down, creating a rapid vibration that makes your face jiggle and tickle. We enjoyed a good laugh as he kept doing this over and over again til he could barely keep his head up.
Tomorrow i have a very important meeting to go too. Tia will be caring for Mac when I go so i don't have to deal with the hassle of having him there while i'm trying to get things done. i am looking forward to it and hope all goes well.
Mac still can't say words yet or point to various body parts, but boy has he advanced in his physical skills. He began to walk, as you all know, the beginning of this month - at 10 months old. he crawled early too...hopefully, by working on parts of the face, and words, he'll be able to say and point soon! he can certainly make really loud high pitched noises...as he is doing at this very moment and he is very good at saying di, do, duh...he has experimented with other voices and sounds while in his highchair and when mommy isn't around but so far i haven't been able to witness much.
Currently i'm working on details for a trip to the midwest this fall to check things out and have relatives meet Mac and i'm considering taking a Karate class. I'm really not sure why other than i think it could help me better understand various aspects of myself and my life. Also, i'm still very much interested in going onto law school when i graduate.
