lights and sirens!!

woowee talk about one hell of a wake up call! no, don't worry, the house didn't catch on fire...there was a car chase!! apparently a truck flew down our street at a high rate of speed and turned into a vacant lot at the end on the south side of the street. Now, our street dead ends at a ditch and the vacant lot is right next to it on the left. well, Mac and i missed seeing the fleeing suspect but we did however see two county police cruisers fly down the street going like 80mph, literally(!!), with their lights flashing and sirens blaring!! The initial sirens we heard were at...well, i cant say when they actually started...i heard them...but thought they'd go away...anyway, when Mac & I got up it was 0640. i followed the sound of sirens and noticed the other neighbors were standing in the street and thats when the cops flew down the road and made a hard left into the lot!! talk about some fabulous excitement first thing in the morning!! then 3 more followed a few minutes later and parked at the dead end. now at this point, Police have set a perimeter and a police officer has blocked off the west end of our street. just a few minutes ago another cop just came down the road to meet with the other officer perhaps, or to continue down to the location!! WooHoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and i think i just heard a gunshot, but i'm not really positive. Now most people would be freaked out about all of this and worried about their safety, but i feel pretty safe and am totally excited about all this action!!!!!!!!!!
