ahh the ability to feed himself...

so this morning, Mac comes round the corner of the couch to visit but begins to gag, and gag hard. so i figure, alright, a cheerio doesn't feel right in his throat so i pat him on the back a lil bit and he seems to be better. then i give him some water to drink to wash everything down. well, next thing i know Mac vomits, and he vomits again....but when he fnished he was perfectly fine except for a bit suprised at what he'd done. well, vomit was all over his leg and my arm so i plop him in the bathtub, remove his clothing and diaper, wash him off and let him play in the bath for a bit while i washed my arm. he's playing, and playing, making weird faces which i thought were odd, but alright, he seems to be doing just fine....after about 15min he decides he wants to get out. i pick him up, wrap a towel around him, make a funny face at him, he smiles, and.....Oh My God!!!!!! There is piece of very thin tin foil resting flat on his tongue...the kind of tin foil you'd find wrapped around a hershey bar. Needless to say, I was a bit freaked out, quickly removed the piece of foil, checked for more, got bit a few times, went to the living room, grabbed a diaper, back to the bedroom, diapered Mac, put him to bed, immediately went back to the living area/kitchen and cleaned every nook and cranny in my very limited amount of time and using anything except that which would wake up my tin foil eater. Now that Mac can feed himself, he has been trying to eat every little thing! Not suprising, I know....and don't worry all you veteran mothers...I'm quite aware now of choking hazards, and pieces of tin foil lying on the floor!
I was going to go out today and pick up one of Mac's portraits and return a bath mat that is far too small but i think i'd rather stay home, get some studying and/or reading done, and continue to clean my home.
