a sleepless night

well, after i finally got off the computer last night, i layed down in bed next to mac and not two minutes later amc woke up and began to cry. i thought, ok, this is a typical moment when he wakes up in the middle of the night; i'll just nurse him back to sleep....but no. he didn't want to nurse on either breast (sometimes he prefers one more than the other) and wouldn't let me sign to him either. So, back up i go, turn the TV back on, play some baby einstein, get his water, comfort him...i did everything! I even introduced him to some baby juice which he liked but it was too cold for him. i'm guessing that he really needed to cough and get some yuckies out of his throat, which he did...a lot. i made sure to push him to drink lots of water and juice to wash the yuckies down his throat as well. finally after about 2 hours i was able to nurse him back to sleep...poor lil guy! then, finally, i was able to go to sleep. a couple dreams later, my phone rings. my first thought? something's happened to someone in the family...and i only thought that because it was still nearly dark and no one ever calls me that early. turns out, it was olivia's daddy asking if i could watch olivia today because olivia's mommy had to go into work on short notice. if we didn't have such a horrible nights sleep, i would have said no problem, but with mac being sick and me with little sleep, i didnt' want to make it any harder of a day. plus, since i neglected my papers until the last minute, i also neglected my dishes, laundry, etc. so i have to get a lot of that done today as well.

i'm not sure if i am coming down with mac's sickness or not. it's been a guessing game since he got the cough in the first palce. i don't have the same symptoms as him but lately at night, i've been getting dry throat and stuffy noses. i do have a humidifier running at night for mac, but it's a cool mist one and i have yet to be convinced that its working properly!

Anyway, i finished mac's wall of pictures...well so far anyway...it's very cute! i have some nice wall art that will be going up on the walls soon as i finish painting this weekend and i am going to create a piece with mac and me.

other than all that, nothing else is new. i will get some pics and a cute video of mac posted shortly.
