Olivia

Mac's friend Olivia will be coming to the house this coming Thursday and Friday, all day long while her mommy and daddy begin work again. They are elementary school teachers and classes begin this thursday. Her mommy will be job sharing with another teacher as well as swapping care for their children. But since the schools begin, they both want to be there for both days so the school kids will have a chance to get to know both of them and understand what they will be doing. If her co-teacher's child is ever sick and she needs to drop Olivia off somewhere, she will be calling me to drop her off. I don't mind one bit. She will be paying me to do it, and also it will give Mac a chance to get to know and learn to be around another baby his age. It will be a big adjustment for Mac and I, but i know we will come to enjoy her being here with us in good times and bad!!
Mac has perfected the skill of squatting to play with a toy from the standing position. It really is very cute to watch! He is still crawling, but i'd venture to say he is at the point now where he walks more than crawls. That boy just loves to strut his stuff for people!
I am in the process of changing my home around again! not anything drastic...the main pieces of furniture will remain in the same spot because i really, really like how i've clearly defined a living space. but, mac almost never uses the pack n play and i've created a play space in the other room for when i begin to take classes again...mac and i both can be in there, working and playing. So, some of his toys and things will be in the other room as well. I also want to move the table somewhere else. i'm not sure if i can pull that off though. anyway, still no real news here.
oh, i nearly forgot, mac turns 11 months old today! alright, that's it!
