Wow, almost a month...

since I last posted here. Huh.

Well, Mac has been passing so many lifetime milestones I can't keep them straight nor keep up. But tonight, he did me proud.

For the past month or two he has been very interested in his potty. Every time I go, he wants to pretend to go as well. Within the past month or so he has been even more interested in that he will want to take his diaper off and go sit on the potty. But, every time he sat on his potty naked, he never did anything. We always talk about going potty and telling mama when he feels he needs to go, and as recent as the past week he has said he needed to go poop and then pooped in his diaper after telling me he didn't have to go when the going on the potty was mentioned. A few weeks ago he had one accident involving poop and the kitchen floor, but other than that, things have been all pretend and no action. So, getting back to my point and event for tonight. Mac was in the tub playing with his new bath time crayons and he stands up and pees. I look at him and say, "oh you just went potty! Next time you feel like you have to go, tell me, ok?" So he finishes his bath and he gets bundled up in his favorite towel and is sitting almost swaddled-like on the couch in his towel. He starts to squirm a little bit and unravels the towel. He looks down at himself, and then proceeds to tell me he has to go potty. He brings his favorite book with him and we get him situated on the potty. I thought for sure he wasn't going to do anything but sit there. But after about a minute or two he peed! It wasn't much, a dribble or two, but the point here isn't that he filled the bowl, it's that he recognized that he had to go, and he went, for the first time in my presence, on the potty!
