As an early birthday present, I purchased tickets a month ago to take Mac to meet the life size version of Thomas the Tank Engine, his buddy, pal, best friend, and obsession. Today was the big day. Mac got all dressed up in his best Thomas gear and we headed out to the event. All he knew, was that he was going to a BIG surprise with Mama. He was quite surprised too. He'd been constantly asking me if we could ride on Thomas' train and would ask me frequently if we could call Thomas and tell him to come to Minnesota so he could see him. We happened to park at the very back of the parking lot, which also happened to be the closest spot to Thomas! Mac, sitting atop the car, with his new "big James" and Thomas in the background:
